I Got Ripped Off!

You may have seen this a few months ago

But I thought it was worth showing you again.

I just bought a “ViperFish” from the internet for $5.

Yes, I’m serious. I really did manage to score one for this phenomenally low price.

The bad news is:

It’s a FAKE.

Take a look at this and tell me if you can spot which one is the fake… 😀

Yes, I know, it’s kinda easy to spot.

I don’t know what I find more fascinating… the fact that people blatantly copy like this… or that people actually buy such poor-quality “fakes”.

One last thing…

I find it funny because there is no “threat” to what I’m doing. The type of person who is going to spend $5 on a cheap, stainless-steel thing like that… is NOT the same person who would buy the original, titanium REAL DEAL!

Yeah the color was a dead give away but I’m actually surprised at how close it is to the original in terms “shape”

  • Brad says:

Yep, all of my stuff is copied and all over the internet aswell for a few dollars and TERRIBLE quality. I got one of my WTF copies aswell.

  • Joe w says:

What annoys me most about the copy is the clip part. I’m sure it doesn’t do its job properly and would probably break off pretty soon, obviously 😀

  • Bob Lukach says:

Shame on them Magnus! I know it’s part of being in business, but there still must be some type of recourse against these cheap imitations. Maybe a cease & desist order to prevent further sales. Your true customers know the difference, but it still hurts. And yes, it does feel good that someone would copy your work. A double edged sword no doubt about it!
