THIS Has Been A Long Time Coming…

Before I jump right in…

Sorry for my absence on this blog for the last few weeks – it’s been a VERY busy time.

This “busyness” has been caused by four things. The first three are…

#1 – Sorting out the logistics after The One Titanium Pen project ended on Kickstarter

#2 – Fulfilling The PillPots project from Kickstarter (literally being shipped out the door as I type this)

#3 – Sorting out the (now very late – sorry folks!) Titanium “Scalper” (which is shipping tomorrow morning)

And the fourth thing?

Well, this is where it gets just a “little bit” (okay, you got my, it’s actually MASSIVELY) exciting…

The truth is:

I’ve recently spent a disgusting, obscene and possibly even illegal amount of time tweaking my original HangKey design.

While the original design was a bit of a “classic” – there were a good number of improvements I knew I could make (stronger, better looking, more finishing options… to name just a few!)

Here’s what you need to know…

As I write this there is just over 24 hours to go until the launch of the HangKey on Kickstarter – here’s a tiny, little “sneak peek” (just for you… so perhaps don’t tell anyone else about this blog post!):

Oh, and one last thing…

The reason for the Kickstarter project is simple. The new HangKey is so different that I have to start again with all the CNC maching work that’s required to produce the HangKey. The Kickstarter project will allow me to “tool up”.

And, because it’s a Kickstarter project, it’s going to be cheaper there than when you come to buy it form the website later. So, yeah, support the project and get a bargain. 🙂

Talk to you soon.

*curious* nice…looks like different kind of finishes and maybe an other material? 🙂

  • John says:

some featues I like about the HangKey design include the chamfering/bevels, the larger lanyard opening and the larger belt loop opening. It looks fantastic! I am looking forward to the new HangKey!

  • Michael says:

Cool! I like the machining, but I think I’ll stick with the original. This one has a bit too many lines for my taste, and for some reason even though it looks slimmer, it doesn’t have the same minimalist feel as the first iteration.

  • Fernando says:

Magnus, will you be adding a Ti tiny ring in the hole on the bottom to change the orientation of the keys so I they don’t rest sideways inside the pocket? I don’t know if you’ll remember, but I sent you some feedback when I got my hangkey that my father car keys would sit perpendicular to my thigh inside my pocket instead of parallel to it, and would strain the split ring.

Can’t wait to see the spoilers!
