Okay, I’ll keep this short(really short!)

What is this ugly little prototype below… (just a bit of fun :-D)

not sure from the pic – is it hollow like a bowl and filled with sand, or is it massive and just dirty on top … then it could be a hockey-puck

I’m pretty sure that is a table

Maybe a collapsible cup with cover.

  • Ha-haa…

Man, those are some funny answers.

Some good guesses – and, to be honest, I thought 50% of people would get it. But, alas, no one has manged it so far.

I thought the frosty white stuff on it would give it away. 🙂

It’s a prototype for a titanium “ice cube”. The kind of thing you put in your freezer to chill… and then put it in whiskey so as not to dilute the drink.

Yes, it’s massively ugly (especially since I put a darker finish on it!), but it was purely to test the function of it.

Thank you so much for your guessing – was pretty damn exciting to wake up this morning and see what your thoughts were!

  • Oh, also, I should have put it next to an ‘AA’ battery for scale…

Never thought about that. I’m looking at the photo again, and now the thing looks way bigger than it actually is.

    It’s only around 40mm (1.5″) diameter.

So, yeah, I should have put something in for size reference – sorry about that.

    • Julian says:

Yeah the scale would have been helpful, but this is definitely something I would purchase! Love my whiskey, but I hate adding ice.
